Job Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to define, prioritize, and lead the execution of platform product initiatives within IT operations, ensuring reliability, resilience, and agility. The Senior Product Owner will act as the primary advocate for the customer, translating business needs into actionable requirements, managing product backlogs, and driving value delivery in alignment with long-term technology goals, all within an Agile and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Strategy & Vision: Develop and communicate a clear product vision and roadmap that aligns with business priorities and drives platform adoption.
• Backlog Management: Own, groom, and manage the product backlog, ensuring it reflects the highest business priorities and maximizes value delivery.
• Prioritization & Value Delivery: Prioritize features, epics, and user stories based on business value, customer feedback, technical feasibility, and success metrics.
• Requirements Definition: Collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex business needs into actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and detailed functional requirements.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate communication and alignment between engineering, architecture, product management, and business leaders to ensure clarity on product direction.
• Agile & SAFe Champion: Implement and champion Agile and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) principles and ceremonies within the team and across the value stream.
• Cross-Team Coordination: Collaborate with other Product Owners and Managers to ensure end-to-end feature delivery and cohesive platform enhancements.
• Performance Analysis: Define and track key success metrics and operational data to measure product value, identify improvements, and support data-driven decisions.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of progressive experience as an Agile Product Owner in large, complex environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of work experience and education.
• Active SAFe 6.0 Product Owner/Product Manager Certification or a minimum of 3 years of experience in Scaled Agile product ownership or management.
• Strong understanding of IT operations, IT Asset Management (CMDB), networking, and compliance frameworks (e.g., PCI).
• Proven leadership, communication, and facilitation skills to bridge business objectives with technical teams.
• Proficiency with tools such as Jira Software, Confluence, Jira Align, FigJam, and AgilityHealth.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities focused on delivering incremental value.
