Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Organize Nuclear Security Enterprise (NSE) site inputs and create recommended actions for federal stakeholders
- Supply technological guidance and support for phase processes and design reviews
- Communicate federal priorities to stakeholders from multiple NSE sites
- Act as a representative for the DOE/NNSA and facilitate interagency meetings with multiple government agencies and stakeholders
- Review and negotiate classification guidance for multiple projects to facilitate the update and release of relevant guides
- Develop program plans and assist in defining long-term strategic goals for advanced Use Control applications
- Must be organized and have a strong understanding of deliverables and effective timetables
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Broad experience in nuclear weapons design, development, qualification, production, sustainment and annual assessment
- Understanding and experience with the nuclear weapons Phase Process and the Integrated Phase Gate approach
- Experience in nuclear weapon programs and technology
- Experience with DOD programs and technology that will further NNSA mission goals
- Use Control knowledge of current designs and emerging technologies
- Proven ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally
- Experience as a derivative classifier
- Q/TS clearance with SCI access
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in a technical or engineering discipline
- Minimum of 20 years' experience in the Nuclear Security Enterprise (NSE)
- Knowledge of organizational responsibilities within the NSE
LOCATION: This is a full-time on-site position in Washington, DC 20585 USA with travel to NSE laboratories, plants, and sites and other work and meeting locations may be required (up to 25% and occasionally more).
Salary: Salaries are determined based on several factors including external market data, internal equity, and the candidate's related knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
