Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Automation Engineer to join our dynamic QA Engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation frameworks and solutions that ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. This role requires deep expertise in test automation, CI/CD pipelines, cloud-native technologies, and agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement scalable automation frameworks using Selenium, Cucumber, and Java.

Develop and maintain BDD/TDD test suites integrated with Maven, Jenkins, and Git.

Perform API testing using Postman and automate backend validations.

Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines and manage test execution across environments.

Work with Docker and Kubernetes to deploy and manage test environments.

Collaborate with developers, QA analysts, and DevOps engineers to ensure seamless integration and delivery.

Conduct database validations using Oracle, PostgreSQL, and SQL queries.

Participate in Agile ceremonies (Scrum) and contribute to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Use JIRA and Zephyr for test case management, defect tracking, and reporting.

Apply out-of-the-box thinking to solve complex testing challenges and improve test coverage.

Contribute to and maintain documentation related to STLC processes and automation strategies.

Mentor and coach QA Automation engineers, providing guidance on best practices, tools, and career development.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6+ years in software testing, including 4+ years in automation development

  • Strong Java programming skills

  • Proficient in Selenium Cucumber and Robot Framework

  • Experience designing and implementing automation frameworks from scratch

  • Skilled in API and web service testing (SOAP, REST)

  • Familiar with BDD/TDD methodologies

  • Hands-on with SQL query writing and execution

  • Knowledge of SDLC and Agile (SCRUM) practices

  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and build tools like Maven

  • Proficient in version control systems (SVN/GIT) and defect management tools (e.g., JIRA)

  • Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and performance testing is a plus

  • Background in banking or financial applications is an advantage

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

  • Experience with unit testing best practices

  • Bachelor's Degree required

Preferred Qualifications:

ISTQB or equivalent certification.

Experience with performance testing tools and security testing.

Experience with cloud-native testing environment.

Knowledge of Ingress controllers and microservices architecture.
