Compensation Range

Annual Salary: $93,000.00 - $109,000.00 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)

About This Job

The main purpose of this job is to be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high quality software applications through the development, execution, and continuous improvement of comprehensive testing strategies. This role designs and maintains formal test plans, test scripts, and automated validations while also performing production environment quality checks and pre production manual testing. The position collaborates with cross functional teams to support stable, reliable, and consistent software releases.

Essential Functions

  • Create standardized testing processes, including developing and maintaining templates for test plans and test scripts

  • Create, maintain, and monitor automated testing validations in production, ensuring environment stability and accurate reporting of validation outcomes

  • Maintain a comprehensive library of systems, automated scripts, and validation assets, including updating and troubleshooting components following post‑production changes

  • Perform manual testing of new or updated functionality prior to production deployment, as assigned, to ensure readiness and quality

  • Test web‑based applications, browser testing, and responsive design testing

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

  • Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology

  • Strong knowledge of TFS/ADO or similar Agile project management tools

  • Knowledge of automation best practices

  • Experience with technologies including XML, Web Services, .NET, Java, SQL, PuTTY, SQL Query, and SoapUI

  • Ability to evaluate and communicate test results and analysis

  • Ability to architect, develop, and debug medium‑ to complex‑level automation scripts

  • Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills for cross‑team collaboration

  • Strong active listening skills

  • Motivated and organized self‑starter with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to remain adaptable and resilient with an optimistic outlook aligned with company culture and core values

  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required

  • 6+ years' experience writing and performing automated and open‑source software testing required

The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable differentials (geographic, bilingual, or shift) that could be associated with the position or where it is filled. At Commerce, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $93,000 to $109,000 annually.
