If you are a highly motivated engineer who enjoys a challenging and dynamic environment where your contributions are both critical and valued, this company will provide you with the tools and opportunity to thrive.The Senior SMT Process Lead will be responsible for the overall operation of the SMT production line, including programming, setup/change over, and coordination of preventative and routine maintenance of all lab equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience with a variety of tools and equipment used in the fabrication of electronic components. This is a challenging and rewarding position that involves working closely with microelectronics process engineers, as well as other functional groups supporting the lab. Required Qualifications (Must-Have’s):
- Active TS/SCI w/ polygraph
- 7+ years of experience with electronics manufacturing
- Experience monitoring product performance, quality, and delivery metrics.
- Familiarity with SMT process tools including but not limited to:
- Solder paste selection and application
- Pick-and-place
- Reflow
- Inspection (AOI and manual)
- Experience generating manufacturing work instructions and travelers.
- Technical writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity/experience with IPC-610 and/or IPC-620
- Experience programming and operating a pick-and-place machine.
- Ability to lead communications from the lab floor to leadership/management through yield meetings, situation reports, problem resolution charts, etc.
- Ability to monitor process yields, troubleshoot and resolve non-conforming product issues, and recommend/implement quality process improvements.
- Experience conducting formal design of experiments (DOE).
- Ability to identify solutions to manufacturing problems related to materials, design, and equipment.
- Ability to identify materials and processes to support ruggedization of products.
- Familiarity with working in a cleanroom environment.
