Senior Software Engineer

Salary Range $95k-$105k

POSITION TITLE: Sr. Software Engineer

REPORTS TO: Software Engineering Director

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Understands and relates customer needs to the products we develop.
• Defines functional specifications, high-level designs and architecture.
• Performs impact analysis of implementation decisions for security, compliance, scalability and high availability.
• Supervises junior members of the team for as a subject matter expert including task allocation and estimation.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficient in one or more areas for Cloud development such as:
• Software architecture such as Application, System or Solutions architecture
• Hands-on experience with Cloud infrastructure such as Google cloud platform or Amazon Web Services
• Hands-on web Application software development experience
• Database experience in both SQL and NoSQL databases such as Postgres (AlloyDB), Big Query and Redis
• Python experience including frameworks such as Flask or Django
• GUI design, usability testing and design tools
• HTML, JavaScript (preferably TypeScript), CSS
• Web services development experiences REST and MQTT
• Web application frameworks, such as Angular and Aurelia
• Kubernetes and/or containerized application development
• Advanced knowledge of developing software in Linux Operating System
• Knowledge of development tools (IDE), source code control (Git)
• Experience working in Agile / Kanban product development environment
• Debugging and trouble shooting skills using Visual Studio

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in EE, CE or CS required
• 4+ years of work experience with 2+ years as a senior software developer.

COMPENSATION AND OTHER

$95k-$105k
