- Candidate will work on the Guidewire Configuration Team and be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting the software applications and integrations.
- Gathers, documents, understands, and articulates functional, non-functional and business requirements that are already defined.
- Designs and develop Guidewire software application and related components both independently and as part of a team.
- Perform unit, regression, and integrations testing for application changes to ensure high quality.
- Track and monitor production systems for issue identification and prevention across multiple environments and operating platforms.
- Research and troubleshoot issues across different functional teams in order to rectify system problems in a timely manner.
- Becomes familiar with Alfa’s interconnected technology framework and systems in order to understand the impact of software changes
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related area of study related to Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering is required. Or bachelors degree required with 10 years’ experience in software development.
- At least 3 years of on-the-job experience coding and developing in Guidewire required. Or at least 2 years of on-the-job experience coding and developing in Guidewire and having attained the GW Certified Professional certification.
- Experience in Java, GOSU, XML, Insurance Vertical Experience, SQL Server, a modern code repository, (ie. BitBucket, GitHub, etc.).
- Claims Center experience is a plus.
- Proven experience in or knowledge of all SDLC components. Competent communication skills (sending and receiving), including clear and timely communication on business issues and assignments with peers, management, and product owners.
