Must be willing to work East Coast hours (9:30-5:30 ET)Overview
You will serve as the day-to-day strategic lead for an Enterprise-level client with multiple sub-brands, sitting at the intersection of leadership, communication, service, and flawless campaign performance. You will own the full paid social roadmap from discovery through optimization, mentor a high-performing team, and guide senior stakeholders toward measurable growth.
This role requires a confident decision-maker with prior retail category experience, who can take full strategic ownership and lead both internal teams and client conversations with authority.
What You Will Do
Strategic Leadership
- Develop paid social and cross-channel growth strategies that ladder up to brand and sub-brand business objectives.
- Translate goals into clear channel plans, tests, budgets, and success metrics.
- Educate internal teams and client stakeholders and align with channel reps on emerging platform changes, alphas/betas, and performance best practices.
- Confidently lead key client meetings, set strategic direction, and influence senior stakeholders with a strong point of view, ensuring the strategy reflects data, insight, and business context.
- Present directly to senior-level leaders, manage differing opinions, and move decisions forward with clarity and authority.
Account Ownership
- Act as the primary point of contact for client marketing leadership, setting expectations, sharing insights, and shaping quarterly business reviews.
- Guide brainstorms and strategic conversations that unlock new opportunities, audience segments, and creative angles.
- Lead strategic testing presentations to align with the client brands, then pass prioritized roadmaps and testing briefs to internal teams to execute, in addition to closing feedback/learning loops.
- Own strategic narrative development, ensuring internal and external stakeholders understand not just what happened, but why, and what to do next.
Campaign Execution & Optimization
- Oversee forecasting, flighting, bid strategies, and creative testing to exceed KPI targets.
- Leverage real-time dashboards and reporting tools to monitor pacing, conversion efficiency, and incremental lift.
- Maintain first-rights access to hands-on-keyboard optimizations for high-impact initiatives.
- Quickly assess platform data and translate trends into clear context, implications, and next steps with minimal direction.
Analysis & Reporting
- Synthesize brand data (platform and backend) into clear, compelling stories that drive decision-making.
- Deliver actionable insight decks, monthly narrative reports, and bespoke deep dives for sub-brand stakeholders.
- Continuously benchmark performance and define test-and-learn agendas that push the program forward.
- Familiarity with incrementality measurement models, MMM/MTA interpretation, and post-campaign attribution narratives (critical in enterprise retail environments).
Partner & Vendor Management
- Cultivate relationships with Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Reddit, and measurement partners to unlock early access and preferred pricing.
- Negotiate contracts, troubleshoot escalations, and champion innovation pilots.
Team Development
- Hire, train, and mentor a pod of paid social directors and associates, fostering collaboration with creative, data science, and client-service teams.
- Lead weekly strategy stand-ups, set quarterly OKRs, and celebrate wins that move the needle.
- Shape organization-level process improvements; including playbooks, workflows, QA systems, and scalable test frameworks, not just campaign-level tactics.
- Must be highly organized and able to establish structure in ambiguity while driving clarity across teams.
Requirements
- 7+ years of paid social or performance marketing experience with a focus on strategy and client leadership.
- Experience working in the retail category (enterprise multi-brand portfolio or emerging/direct-to-consumer retail brand environment).
- Demonstrated success managing a multi-billion dollar enterprise account spanning multiple brands or business units, with mid seven-figure per month social budgets.
- Expert-level knowledge of Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads, Pinterest, Snapchat Campaign Manager, and social measurement frameworks.
- Proven ability to present directly to C-suite audiences and influence direction when opinions differ.
- Proven ability to turn complex data into persuasive stories for C-suite audiences.
- Self-starter mentality; able to hit the ground running with little direction.
- Hands-on experience hiring, coaching, and inspiring cross-functional teams.
- Strong project-management skills and comfort juggling competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
