Job Description

Technical Product Managers at U.S. Bank oversee the strategic product management for an assigned technical product line(s) in support of the Enterprise organization's goals and market needs. Engages with key stakeholders to define, document, and prioritize features; ensures delivery of marketable capabilities for all U.S. Bank engineering teams while collaborating with agile teams. As a Technical Product Manager, you will:

  • Aligns the strategic vision with cross-functional stakeholders to shape outcome-based product roadmap, product risk, investment areas and success measures.
  • Drives product development with ownership of backlog and actively engages cross-functional stakeholders to enable faster speed to market.
  • Manages across Enterprise users to define and deliver product performance goals (e.g., outcomes, customer experience, etc.).
  • Owns all engagement for assigned technical portfolio regarding the SDLC, e.g., adoption, collaboration.
  • Develops, analyses, monitors, and reports on performance metrics from internal and external sources to identify key trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Uses performance metrics to drive towards progress on identified strategies and initiatives.
  • Leverages OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) to drive roadmap priorities

  • Expertise on the critical interdependencies among product model system elements that help and hinder performance; ability to plan and design solutions that synchronize resources to achieve business results using business metrics, key performance indicators design systems, service blueprints, and reusability
  • Technical know-how understands the product technical architecture and understands the economics of technical investments
  • Demonstrates deep understanding of target customer through internal/external research (e.g., creation of personas, story maps, product chartering/mapping experience)
  • Strong collaboration with software engineers to execute product vision and roadmap
  • Preferred skills: product strategy, vision and planning, product discovery, product development, agile ways of working, enterprise technical alignment and performance measurement and optimization

Role Summary

The Data Governance Platform & Ecosystem Lead is responsible for defining, building, and scaling the enterprise's integrated governance platform across multi cloud environments and diverse data ecosystems. This leader will architect and operationalize a unified governance experience that connects Collibra, Snowflake, Databricks Unity Catalog, and other ecosystem technologies to ensure secure, compliant, and trusted data usage across the organization.

The ideal candidate combines deep data governance expertise with strategic product leadership - driving interoperability, automation, data driven innovation, and alignment with regulatory, security, and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and maintain end-to-end governance frameworks for data lineage, data quality, metadata management, access governance, and compliance across AWS, Azure, and on prem environments.
  • Establish scalable patterns for metadata ingestion, lineage orchestration, and policy enforcement to ensure consistent and automated governance.
  • Unify Collibra, Snowflake, Databricks Unity Catalog, and adjacent technologies into a cohesive governance fabric that supports interoperability and consistent controls.
  • Define integration standards and interoperability patterns to ensure unified governance across platforms, data domains, and cloud environments.
  • Define governance operating models for data products, shared datasets, and marketplace offerings to support standardized, governed data consumption.
  • Enable secure, compliant, and frictionless data sharing using entitlement frameworks, data contracts, and standardized exchange patterns.
  • Partner with SMEs across lineage, data quality, privacy, risk, and engineering to embed governance capabilities into workflows and development lifecycles.
  • Lead governance evangelism to promote adoption, improve usability, and drive consistent enterprise wide execution.
  • Develop API driven patterns and automation for metadata ingestion, lineage capture, quality metrics, and governance workflows.
  • Champion automation first practices to reduce operational overhead, improve governance scalability, and ensure consistent control enforcement.
  • Collaborate closely with architecture, engineering, product, risk, and business teams to align governance capabilities with enterprise priorities.
  • Influence executive stakeholders through a clear vision, measurable outcomes, and demonstrated strategic impact.
  • Define KPIs that measure governance adoption, data quality improvements, regulatory readiness, and platform performance.
  • Provide leadership reporting that clearly communicates program value, progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.

Required Qualifications:

  • 12-15+ years in data governance, enterprise data management, or platform architecture leadership roles
  • Expert level knowledge of metadata management, data lineage, data quality, compliance, and enterprise governance frameworks
  • Hands on proficiency with Collibra, Snowflake, Databricks Unity Catalog, and related governance ecosystem technologies
  • Proven experience architecting and governing multi cloud environments (AWS + Azure) and hybrid/on prem integrations
  • Experience designing API driven integrations, automation workflows, and governance engineering patterns
  • Background in building governed data marketplaces, secure data exchange models, entitlement frameworks, and data contracts
  • Experience defining governance standards for data products and enterprise data sharing ecosystems
  • Experience with cost optimization, budgeting, and financial governance for platform ecosystems
  • Proven product leadership, including vision setting, roadmap development, and backlog management
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across technical, business, and executive domains
  • Demonstrated success driving governance adoption in large, complex organizations
  • Strong track record delivering strategic roadmaps, KPIs, and modernization outcomes at scale
  • Exceptional communication skills with experience presenting to and influencing executive stakeholders
  • Experience with AI driven governance automation (e.g., enrichment agents, lineage inference, data quality intelligence)

Preferred Certifications:

  • Databricks Unity Catalog / Governance focused training
  • Collibra Ranger
  • CDMP, DCAM, or equivalent governance certifications
  • Snowflake or cloud governance certifications (AWS / Azure)

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. Pay Range: $148,495.00 - $174,700.00
