Team Overview

As the Senior Video Engineer, you are a vital part of the Audio/Visual Services Team. In this role, you will report to the Live Event Producer (VA) and will serve as the subject matter expert for all things video-related for Live Event AV and Film Production. You will be responsible for managing all video-related projects for over 150 events a year. Live events include, but are not limited to, seminars, large conferences, webinars, video streaming, training events, fundraisers, etc. You will also manage regular film productions and recordings, including talking head interviews, video edits, BROLL capture, and on-location shoots.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute video production for seminars, conferences, webinars, training events, fundraisers, and film productions.
  • Oversee all aspects of live event video production including video switching, playback, streaming, camera operation, projection, IMAG, and show calling.
  • Operate and maintain a wide range of video equipment including TriCaster, Blackmagic, Canon, Panasonic, Sony, ReadyCam, drones, LED lighting, and C-stands.
  • Manage and operate industry-standard software platforms such as Adobe Creative Suite, Zoom, On24, ProPresenter, PowerPoint, FB Live, YT Live, Vimeo, and Dropbox.
  • Perform video editing and create custom 2D motion graphics and animations using Adobe Premiere and After Effects.
  • Capture high-quality video content including interviews, BROLL, and on-location shoots using cinema and ENG cameras.
  • Design 2D and 3D event space layouts using SketchUp to support event planning and execution.
  • Maintain detailed video archives and inventory lists using internal servers and asset management systems.
  • Collaborate with team leadership to evaluate and implement new technologies that improve production workflows and team efficiency.
  • Ensure proper setup, maintenance, and teardown of all video-related gear for live and recorded productions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in AV Production, Film/Video/TV Production, a similar academic field, or equivalent years of experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in all technical aspects of Live Event Video and Film/TV Production. Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all Live Event and Film Production principles and best practices
  • Experience and knowledge with AV software and hardware such as: ProPresenter, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite, Vimeo, Dropbox, Zoom, NewTek TriCaster, BlackMagic, Canon, Panasonic, Sony, etc.
  • Experience and knowledge of webinar platforms, the internet, streaming protocols, and basic networking.
  • Understanding of stage direction, show flow, projection, video switching, signal flow, stage lighting, stage design, stage direction, depth of field, film thirds, storytelling, 3-point lighting, ENG cameras, cinematic cameras, graphic design, video editing, motion graphics, etc.
  • Ability to travel domestically and occasionally internationally.
