Job Description
Job Duties
Including, but not limited to:
- Torch cut outlines of a 15x 10 ft piece from vessel for removal.
- Torch cut rigging points for crane to connect to piece.
- Rig piece to be detached from vessel.
- Removing mast, posts, boilers, engines, hatch covers, etc. by torch cutting and rigging.
Working Conditions:
- Working from 40 hours plus overtime in a week.
- Working inside enclosed or confined spaces.
- Working from heights.
- Working in hot (Up to 110 F)/cold weather (As low as 35 F).
- Working near moving equipment operations.
Physical Requirements
- Work Environment: Scrap metal Recycling and torch cutting area
- Equipment & Tools: Oxy-fuel Torch Cutting equipment, mechanics tools
- Physical Demand Level: Moderate to Heavy
- Work Capacity: Torch Cutter Work Capacity
- Sensory Demands: Hearing, vision, touch, smell and taste
- Hand Movements: Repetitive motions, gripping
