Job Description
The Shipping Clerk will maintain data within a Warehouse Management System including inventory, fulfillment, transportation, and order management. The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for planning orders, arranging transportation, maintaining transportation contacts, and work instructions for customer-routed freight.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prioritize and communicate intercompany transfer needs
- Identify and communicate customer order shortages
- Sales order fulfillment
- Use of transportation module to plan orders
- Print sales order pick lists
- Schedule and confirm transportation arrangements
- Communicate with carriers such as road, rail, air, and sea companies
- Ensure customer ASN's are performed
- Adhere to the company's safety standards
- Responsible for adhering to and maintaining the company's ISO standards
