Job Summary:
Listed below for both Cooler Operator and Warehouse Operator.
Cooler Operator - This job position includes the planning, picking, loading, and finalizing of finished goods trailers, and onsite/offsite driving responsibilities. Candidates will be required to understand the following operational needs. Employee must obtain and maintain forklift certification at all times. They must be proficient in the Log Pro system to plan, pick, and load trailers with correct labels, amounts, and codes. Must ensure that all trailers are clean, and units are set to proper temperature prior to loading. Ensure the loads are clean, wrapped properly, and placed on the trailer following correct load specifications. Take cooler inventories and monitor cooler for proper temperatures. They will work directly with cooler load out/drivers, production, manufacturing, and WWTP personnel to ensure an efficient operation. Maintain all documented information as per SQF requirements. Keep all work areas neat and clean at all times, to conform to GMP and SQF requirements. Understand and follow all safety procedures, always wear proper PPE, and never put yourself or other employees in harm’s way. Must stay until job is completed or relieved. Must perform any other assignments by a Manager, Supervisor, or Foreman. This description is not all inclusive and is subject to change.
Warehouse Operator – This job position includes the receiving, transferring, picking, and put away of all dry goods and packaging supplies. Candidates will be required to understand the following operational needs: Employee will have to receive and maintain a valid forklift license and adhere to all safety requirements associated with that license. They must be proficient in the Log Pro system to pick, deduct, and transfer stock to be compliant with the Stock Rotation Policy (FIFO). The employee will be responsible for the unloading of stock trucks and placement of stock in accordance with the Material and Ingredient Receiving SOP, Raw Material Storage Policy, and Master Approved Supplier list. Return all unused stock to its proper place in the warehouse and verify that all cases are sealed properly. Separating, bailing, and wrapping cardboard. Discard all garbage from the production floor. Demonstrate a working knowledge of Yard Truck Operation. Notify the Warehouse Foreman or Supervisor of any “low stock” issues. Assist the Warehouse Foreman with inventory checks as needed. They will assure all packaging materials, supplies, and stock are transferred between warehouses on a daily basis to meet packaging, chemical, and ingredient demands. Picking/stage stock, fruit, and ingredients for production needs in a timely manner to prevent delays. They will maintain the Incoming Ingredient and Packaging Examination Logs and be responsible for routine weekly and monthly physical inventories as requested or scheduled. They will work directly with all operations, warehouse, and lab personnel to ensure a clean and efficient operation. Maintain all documented information as per SQF requirements. Keep all work areas neat and clean at all times, to conform to GMP and SQF requirements. Understand and follow all safety procedures, always wear proper PPE, and never put yourself or other employees in harm’s way. Must stay until job is completed or relieved.
