Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Clinical Social Worker (LMSW or LCSW) to join our growing behavioral health outpatient team. The Clinical Therapist will provide individual and group therapy to clients ages 5 and up, utilizing evidence-based approaches to support recovery, wellness, and positive behavioral change.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop treatment plans in collaboration with clients and families.

Provide therapeutic services including individual, group, and family therapy.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in client medical records.

Collaborate with clinical teams and external providers to coordinate care.

Participate in the on-call rotation for emergency mental health evaluations in the Emergency Department.

Promote a safe, respectful, and therapeutic environment in alignment with the organization’s healing environment principles.

Requirements

Qualifications

Education:

Required: Master's Degree in Mental Health, Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, or Creative Arts Therapy.

Preferred: PhD in a related field.

Licensure (at least one of the following):

New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).

NYS Mental Health Counselor License.

NYS Registered Nurse License.

NYS Creative Arts Therapy License.

Valid NYS Driver’s License with a clean record.

Certifications:

BLS (Basic Life Support) through RQI required during clinical orientation.

CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification within 90 days of hire.

Experience:

Required: Minimum 1 year in a mental health or hospital setting.

Preferred: 3+ years of clinical experience in outpatient mental or behavioral health.
