Solo OTR CDL A Truck Driver

Tornado Transport, a Certified Top Pay Carrier, is looking for professional and experienced Solo OTR CDL A Truck Drivers to join our team. We offer unparalleled stability and are known for having industry-leading driver turnover metrics.

Job Details

• Home Time: You will be home for 5 days after every 18 days on the road.
• Freight: All freight is 100% no-touch, dry van, and full truckload. The vast majority of our freight (less than 2%) is placarded Hazmat.
• Routes: You will operate in the 48 contiguous states with no routes to NYC, Canada, or Mexico.
• Experience: We are seeking drivers with at least 9 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience.

Pay & Bonuses

• Starting Base Pay: You will be paid a base per practical mile.
  • 9-29 months experience: $0.68 with Hazmat endorsement or $0.65 without.
  • 30+ months experience: $0.70 with Hazmat endorsement or $0.67 without.
• Safety Bonuses (Every 90 Days):
  • CSA Safety Bonus: Opportunity to earn $875 (with Hazmat) or $700 plus 8 hours of Paid Time Off (PTO).
  • On-Road Safety Bonus: Opportunity to earn $600.

Equipment & Facilities

• Our fleet consists of ~550 late-model Freightliner Cascadia and Kenworth T680 tractors.
• All trucks have automatic transmissions, 1500-watt inverters, refrigerators, and microwaves.
• You will be assigned a specific tractor with a speed set at 65 MPH (with PasSmart up to 68 MPH).
• All tractors are equipped with bunk heaters, Bluetooth radios, and free SiriusXM radio service.
• Trailers are equipped with SkyBitz tracking systems and cargo sensors.
• You will have access to advanced online services to manage loads, review payroll, and more.

Qualifications

• A valid and current Class A CDL.
• 9 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience.
• No DWIs in the past 7 years.
• No more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years.
• No preventable DOT reportable accidents in the past 3 years.
• Must pass a pre-employment DOT physical, drug screen, and Human Performance Evaluation (HPE).
• No drug test refusal or failure.
