Job Description

San Francisco or Salt Lake City

Anrok is the leading AI-driven tax automation platform enabling businesses to expand globally without compliance complexity.

As the digital economy has grown 6x over the last decade, software businesses have gone from not worrying about sales tax to needing to monitor exposure, calculate rates, and file returns across 20+ US states and many countries worldwide. This creates a critical bottleneck for companies that should be able to transact with customers everywhere.

Anrok eliminates this complexity by connecting with billing and payment systems to automate tax monitoring, calculations, and filing end-to-end. Our unified platform handles the ever-changing maze of tax laws at municipal, state, and federal levels—so companies can focus on growth, not compliance.

Our customers include:

  • 40% of Forbes Top 50 AI companies

  • 20% of Forbes Top 100 Cloud companies

  • Top companies like Notion, Anthropic, and Cursor

We're making compliant digital commerce a reality for companies big and small, backed by over $50M from leading investors including Sequoia, Index, and Khosla Ventures.

We're seeking a Post-Sales Solutions Engineer to help drive expansion within our existing customer base. You'll transform technical expertise into measurable revenue outcomes, working at the intersection of sales, product, and engineering to unlock new opportunities and ensure long-term partnerships.

You'll become the trusted technical advisor customers rely on, mastering our platform capabilities and developing deep expertise in sales tax compliance and enterprise integrations. By bridging customer business objectives with technical solutions, you'll establish Anrok as the strategic partner customers rely on as they scale their business.

In this role, you will:

  • Partner with Account Managers as a key technical member of account teams, supporting customer strategy and identifying expansion opportunities within existing accounts

  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor for executive, business, and technical stakeholders while Account Managers own the primary relationship

  • Apply Anrok platform capabilities to solve customers' evolving business challenges, creating technical roadmaps and architectures that unlock value

  • Partner with Account Managers in expanding Anrok's footprint to new markets, business units, and use cases through technical consultation on capabilities, local tax requirements, and integrations

  • Lead technical aspects of strategic customer engagements, including discovery sessions, solution demonstrations, and technical workshops to support expansion opportunities

  • Conduct and deliver competitive analysis in partnership with Account Managers

  • Act as the "Voice of the Customer" by gathering technical feedback and integration requirements, then partnering with Product and Engineering teams to prioritize development

  • Participate in account planning and Quarterly Business Reviews, providing technical insights to align customer and revenue success strategies

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, escalating complex problems to internal teams while keeping Account Managers and customers informed of progress

What excites us:

  • You have 5+ years of experience as a Solutions Engineer or Solutions Architect.

  • You excel at understanding complex business problems and crafting technical solutions that drive measurable revenue outcomes

  • You have extensive experience with REST APIs, webhooks, SQL, and enterprise integrations, particularly in financial and compliance software

  • You're equally comfortable presenting to C-level executives and collaborating with engineering teams on technical implementations

  • You can distill complex technical concepts and advocate for solutions both internally and externally

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to stay organized, are a must.

  • You love building deep expertise in new industries quickly and can become the subject matter expert customers rely on

  • You thrive in cross-functional environments and can lead initiatives that require buy-in from multiple teams

  • You're energized by directly contributing to revenue growth and customer success metrics

What we offer:

  • The equity upside of an early-stage startup with the product-market fit of a later-stage company.

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance covered 100%.

  • One Medical membership covered, flexible sick benefits and more.

  • Company-wide holidays over the winter break.

  • Annual learning and development stipend for books, online courses, and conferences, as well as a curious team to share your learnings with.

  • Bi-annual team offsites and optional quarterly gatherings at the SF HQ office.

This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco or Salt Lake City with an expectation to be in the office three days a week for in-person collaboration.
