Elementary Special Education Teacher Needed!

We are looking for a dedicated Special Education Teacher for an elementary school setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting students with diverse needs and the skills necessary to adapt teaching methods accordingly to help each student thrive.
You must have RI Special Education Teaching licence
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized instruction to students with varying disabilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Use evidence-based teaching methods to promote student engagement and learning
- Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, and families
- Monitor and assess student progress, making adjustments to instruction as necessary
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Special Education
- State certification in Special Education
- Experience working in an elementary school setting with students with disabilities
- Strong understanding of behavioral therapy techniques
- Capabilities to create and implement effective learning materials
- Experience in administering and interpreting assessments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
