Job Title:  Security Specialist II

Job Summary:

The Security Specialist II is responsible for minimizing risk and ensuring the protection of all personnel, visitors, and assets on company property as part of the overall security operations of the facility. This role involves developing and implementing security policies, procedures, and protocols, as well as providing direction and coordination to external security services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate the ability to understand, interpret, and clearly communicate corporate security guidelines to all personnel, visitors, and contractors encountered on site.
• Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure the safety and security of the facility.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services, as well as internal colleagues in fire protection and environmental, health & safety to ensure effective response to incidents.
• Monitor security systems, including surveillance cameras, alarms, and access control systems, to ensure proper functioning.
• Serve as subject matter expert and point of contact on investigation of security breaches and incidents, including structure and content of detailed reports with findings and recommendations. Provide direction, guiding and coaching to third-party security services on the same.
• Develop and conduct security training programs and ensure compliance with security policies.
• Participate in management of the security budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
• Stay informed about the latest security technologies and trends to enhance the facility's security measures.
• Provide direction to leadership and personnel of third-party security contractor.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements related to facility security.

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary degree or associate’s program in Security Management, facility Management or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in security management or facility Management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Experience with Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) requirements, preferred

Skills:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to handle high-pressure situations and make quick decisions.
• Proficiency in security systems and technologies.
