This position supervises athletic programs at City facilities.

SPORTS FACILITY MONITOR
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises participants/ facility during games/ tournaments.
Assists and supports the Recreation Coordinator in day-to-day operations by reporting results, disciplinary actions, etc.
Maintains a safe and secure environment for all participants.
Uses appropriate disciplinary techniques with participants and logs all incidents.
Accurately collects/ files team rosters and other administrative forms.
Compiles/ organizes game results.
Effectively interacts and communicates with officials, participants and other employees.
Accounts for and maintains all supplies and equipment.
Remains composed in emergency situations and makes sound judgment decisions during emergency and non-emergency situations.
Serves as a resource to participants, maintains a professional manner while on duty, and mediates disputes calmly and professionally.
Opens and closes facility, maintains safety conditions and enforces all city of Boulder rules, regulations and policies.
Reports directly to Recreation Coordinator.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to provide excellent guest service to participants.
Ability to communicate effectively when enforcing policies, rules and regulations.
Ability to work under pressure.
Ability to be promptness.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to speak/write/understand English.
Ability to have a clean and neat appearance.
Knowledge and experience working in customer service.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Valid Driver's License and ability to maintain acceptable motor vehicle record.
Have and maintain acceptable background information, including criminal conviction history.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of particular sports.
Previous playing/officiating experience.
Previous supervisory experience.
CPR/ AED, first aid certification.
Ability to speak Spanish.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or equivalent
SUPERVISION
Supervision Received: Community Access Coordinator or Recreation Program Coordinator
Supervision Exercised: None
WORKING CONDITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Must have sufficient strength, agility, stamina, and flexibility to lift, carry or move variety of objects up to 50 pounds.
Must have sufficient hearing to be able to hear and discriminate differing sounds in a variety of situations.
Sufficient vision to be able to discriminate between colors, size, and type of objects and people, both close and at a distance.
