SUMMARY

The Tax Internship provides students with the opportunity to apply their accounting and analytical skills in a dynamic, real-world environment. Interns will gain exposure to corporate and partnership taxation, compliance, and reporting, while working alongside experienced professionals in a fast-paced and collaborative setting. This role offers valuable insight into the tax function within a publicly traded REIT and supports key initiatives that impact the company's overall financial strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with the preparation and review of corporate, partnership, and joint venture tax returns
• Support partnership and joint venture reporting, including capital account maintenance and compliance tracking
• Prepare estimated tax payments and assist with the calculation of taxes due
• Help maintain tax files and documentation to support audits and compliance reviews
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather and analyze financial data for tax reporting
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Assist with ad hoc projects and research related to federal, state, and local tax matters

TRAVEL

Some out of area and overnight travel may be expected.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Current undergraduate or graduate student majoring in Accounting.

Experience: Previous internship and/or work experience preferred.

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, drug screening, and verification of employment, education, and other credentials relevant to the position.
