Position Description:

The Director of Environment, Health, Safety & Physical Security (EHSS) will have responsibility to lead, manage, and sustain robust enterprise EHSS initiatives and programs to achieve best in class performance. The Director will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative EHSS strategies to ensure the health, safety and security of employees as well as organizational compliance with applicable Federal, State, and local regulations. This individual will set goals and objectives for the organization to achieve strategic goals including incident reduction, environmental management, hazard recognition, and safety/security score improvement strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the implementation of EHSS strategies to enable the organization to achieve all Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)
  • Provide effective coaching and development to sustain a high performance EHSS team with a bias for fast paced problem solving
  • Develop annual EHSS budgets in a timely manner, forecasting financial and human resources needs for the future
  • Develop and distribute strategic OKR's to applicable levels throughout the organization ensuring accountability and on time delivery of commitments
  • Lead prevention through design processes to effect safety controls within all new projects and facilities
  • Sustain mechanisms and systems to actively anticipate and identify risks throughout the supply chain
  • Ensure adequate physical security controls, systems, and methodologies are in place to protect people and assets
  • Lead business continuity and crisis communication plans and assure organizational preparedness
  • Develop, implement, and administer EHSS programs to ensure all company locations meet current regulatory agency and industry standard requirements and
  • Annually review all EHSS training programs, procedures, and documents to ensure they are up to date with all regulatory requirements and to ensure their effectiveness
  • Maintain current knowledge of emerging technologies to enhance EHSS and organizational performance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree9 years of related experience including significant management experience preferred
