About the team and the role:
With innovative and exciting operational initiatives, the Risk Strategy & Operations team is a fast-paced and passion-filled team to join! This team supports Risk & Compliance teams across eBay via a shared service model to drive scalable, compliant transformation by aligning cross-functional stakeholders across business, finance, technology, and legal to integrate risk & compliance considerations into strategic execution!
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Sr. Manager for Risk Strategy & Operations. The position will be instrumental in driving operational efficiency, strategic alignment, and execution of key cross-functional programs. We are hiring curious, driven, and fearless experts to transform our business unit to enable eBay's strategy. Our focus is to ensure the integrity of our marketplace for buyers and sellers who transact with us every single day. The scope of our charter includes Risk Management Strategy, Business Operations, Transformation, and cross-functional program/project management for key Risk driven initiatives.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a strong communicator, and a proactive problem solver. Success in this role requires the capacity to connect decisions to broader business strategies, influence effectively, agility to change and adapt to meet the needs of our dynamic marketplace, and partner with our key stakeholders to ensure that Risk & Compliance considerations are embedded as part of the broader business strategies.
What you will accomplish:
Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner to leadership, ensuring strategic initiatives are prioritized and effectively managed.
Facilitate executive-level communications, presenting and reporting to drive strategy and influence across teams.
Lead cross-functional programs, supporting transformation and strategic priorities, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring scalable solutions.
Identify risks and dependencies, driving resolution and mitigation strategies to ensure successful execution of key initiatives.
Enable collaboration across Legal, Compliance, Trust, Privacy, Security, Product, Program Management, Operations, and other key stakeholders encouraging a culture of partnership and innovation.
Support organisational change and the adoption of new processes and tools, facilitating learning and growth opportunities within the team.
What you will bring:
Dedicated to working our Hybrid Model with 3+ days per week in the Austin, TX office.
Extensive experience (10+ years) in consulting, program management, strategy, or operations, with a strong understanding of risk and compliance domains preferred.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with proficiency in PowerPoint and reporting tools.
Executive-level verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to tell a compelling story backed by data
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, adept at navigating cross-functional, matrixed organizational structures.
Demonstrated success managing multiple sophisticated projects in high-stakes, ambiguous environments. Skilled at getting results across matrixed, cross-functional teams.
Understand, improve processes, and methodologies to drive solutions.
Preferred certifications like PMP, Lean Six Sigma, and experience with enterprise risk management and regulatory compliance.
Able and willing to travel as needed for the role.

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
$123,600 - $198,100
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employees will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
