As Sr. Application Support Engineer I, you'll work as part of a collaborative and high-performing team providing your expertise to deliver technical solutions within the highest levels of the federal government.

What you'll do:
- Serve as a cross-functional engineer supporting tier-2 product activities and as an intermediary between the customer and developer teams.
- Serve as a liaison between end users, product stakeholders, and development teams by capturing, analyzing, and soliciting government customer prioritization of feature requests, usability feedback, and operational issues to inform product improvement and backlog refinement.
- Develop and provide initial user training where required to support application and feature deployment.
- Triage, troubleshoot, and resolve application support issues and service requests by replicating reported issues, identifying root causes, applying known solutions or workarounds, and escalating to development teams only when engineering-level intervention is required.
- Perform functional testing and quality assurance activities on application features and updates, validating requirements and identifying defects to ensure software reliability and compliance with user and mission needs before deployment.
- Establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence with your knowledge and skills, and use your creativity to provide innovative solutions that fit the customer's needs.
What you'll need to succeed:
- An active Top Secret with SCI eligibility security clearance.
- Possess a BA/BS in a technology discipline
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Relevant experience can be substituted for education.
- Possess a DoD 8140 DoD Cyber Work Force (DCWF) Role 671 Systems Testing and Evaluation Specialist, 673 Software Testing and Evaluation Specialist, 652 Systems Developer, or 451 Systems Administrator qualification.
- Demonstrated experience supporting projects of similar size, scope, and complexity.
SALARY RANGE: $128,000 - $165,000
The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:
- The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience
- The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
- Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
- This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:
- Performance-based bonuses
- Company-paid training and/or certifications
- Referral bonuses
