Job Description

Sr Specialist, Sales Enablement

The Senior Specialist provides retail sales and operational expertise to one business category. This role runs day-to-day category activities and focuses on execution of tactical plans for a specified category. This role is responsible for retail plans and tactics and supports the Category Manager as required with broader business initiatives and project work.

This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work some days on-site at the Best Buy location listed on this posting (Richfield, MN) and some days virtually from home or other non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.

What you'll do

  • Execute daily, weekly, and monthly category responsibilities in partnership with manager and team.
  • Design category plans, tools, and tactics to yield a positive employee and customer experience.
  • Provide category teams and other partners with sales and operational perspective, advice, and limits regarding sales proficiency, retail capacity, and ability to execute plans. Ensure corporate actions and directions are deployed consistently with retail SOP and parameters.
  • Develop ongoing working relationships with category vendors as required to support day to day operational business needs and more strategic initiatives.
  • Works with cross-functional teams and contributes to sales, operational process, and strategy for product launches, business category strategies, and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure and tools to maximize business across the category.
  • Coordinates key run the business operational activities in support of the broader category support team
  • Monitors retail feedback integration points and provides insight and opportunities to managers and partners.

Basic qualifications

  • 2 or more years of experience in Business, Retail, Sales, Operations, or related experience
  • 1 or more years of Retail supervisory or management experience.
  • 1 or more years of vendor or external partner management

Preferred qualifications

  • 1 or more years of financial management experience with P&L responsibilities.
  • 1 or more years of project management or cross-functional team experience.
