Staff Accountant

AboutAt Vertin, the Staff Accountant is an entry to mid-level accounting role responsible for supporting accurate financial reporting and maintaining strong accounting records. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this position plays a key role in balance sheet reconciliations, month-end close support, and participation in accounting initiatives and process improvements. This is an excellent opportunity to grow technical skills through hands-on experience and mentorship within the Vertin accounting team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain balance sheet account reconciliations, including bank and fixed asset activity
• Assist with month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and account reviews
• Participate in Vertin accounting initiatives, such as system changes, testing, and process enhancements
• Support financial reporting, variance analysis, audits, and tax documentation as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting with 0 to 3 years of experience, or an Associate's degree complemented by relevant additional experience; we encourage Spring 2026 graduates to apply.

• Strong Excel skills required

• Experience with multi-entity accounting or Microsoft Dynamics GP is a plus
• Ability to manage small ad hoc projects with minimal oversight
• Exposure to multi-entity accounting is preferred
• Experience supporting system implementations or changes is a plus
