Job Description

At Oura, our mission is to empower every person to own their inner potential. With our award-winning Oura Ring and app, we help over 2.5 million people turn insights about sleep, activity, and readiness into healthier, more balanced lives. We believe that starts from within - by creating a culture where our team feels supported, included, and inspired to do their best work. Our values guide how we show up for each other and our community every day.

We're looking for a Staff Design Producer to join our team. As a Design Producer you will be instrumental in enabling our hardware and software design teams to focus on what truly matters: creating innovative, high-quality products that exceed customer expectations. You will be the driving force behind physical and digital product development, working on integrated experiences. Ensuring that projects exceed users expectations around making health a daily practice. Exceptional focus on proactive communications, organization, timelines, and obstacles are removed. You will bring clarity to complexity, enable smooth workflows, and keep creative and technical teams focused, aligned, and on track-from concept through launch.

What You Will Do:

  • In this pivotal role, you'll drive collaboration between industrial design, UX/UI, engineering, and product management to deliver integrated experiences at the intersection of physical and digital.
  • Lead the end-to-end design production process across software and hardware initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain integrated design timelines and deliverables, ensuring alignment with broader product milestones.
  • Coordinate across disciplines-ID, UI/UX, firmware, mechanical, and software engineering-to ensure dependencies are identified and addressed early.
  • Serve as the connective tissue across teams, fostering communication and alignment between software, hardware, and experience design stakeholders.
  • Drive effective cross-functional design reviews, sprint planning, and milestone check-ins.
  • Act as a liaison between creative/design and technical/product teams, translating needs, risks, and tradeoffs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications, ensuring that stakeholders are informed and aligned.
  • Facilitate effective communication within the team and across departments, ensuring everyone works towards the same goals.
  • Conduct regular meetings to review project status, gather feedback, and adjust plans as necessary.
  • Lead the team in identifying and resolving challenges that arise during the design process.
  • Make informed decisions quickly, balancing the need for timely action with thoughtful consideration.
  • Ensure that the team maintains a strong focus on quality, from initial design through to final product testing.
  • Champion innovative thinking, encouraging the exploration of new ideas and approaches that can enhance product design and performance.

This is a hybrid-remote role, with the expectation to work from our San Francisco offices at least half-time.
