Job Title:

Staff Pharmacist Manager - Evernorth Fulfillment

Position Summary:

The Staff Pharmacist Manager oversees pharmacy fulfillment operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies. This role is responsible for leading a team of pharmacists and technicians, optimizing workflow efficiency, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to deliver safe, accurate, and timely medication fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Team Development

  • Manage and mentor pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to achieve performance goals.

  • Foster a culture of engagement, accountability, and professional growth.

  • Operational Excellence

  • Oversee daily fulfillment operations to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance.

  • Implement and sustain Fulfillment Operating System pillars:

  • People Development

  • Leader Standard Work

  • Throughput Optimization

  • Visual Management/Tier Accountability

  • Focused Improvement

  • Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure adherence to state and federal pharmacy regulations, licensing requirements, and Evernorth standards.

  • Maintain inventory accuracy and audit readiness (target: 99.9% accuracy).

  • Process Improvement

  • Identify and execute initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance customer experience.

  • Leverage automation and technology to optimize throughput and reliability.

  • Collaboration & Communication

  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Operations, Quality, Talent Acquisition) to align on goals and priorities.

  • Communicate performance metrics and progress through tier boards and daily huddles.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree required.

  • Licensure: Active pharmacist license in good standing.

  • Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years in a pharmacy leadership or management role.

  • Experience in high-volume fulfillment or specialty pharmacy preferred.

  • Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.

  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and pharmacy operations.

  • Ability to drive process improvement and manage change effectively.

Performance Metrics:

  • Inventory accuracy
  • Prescription fulfillment turnaround time
  • Compliance audit results
  • Employee engagement and development outcomes

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
