Job Description

About FLORA

We build creative tools for the new creative class—an intelligent canvas where the best AI models enable professional craft. We're a team of ~20, backed by exceptional investors like Hanabi Capital, Menlo Ventures, Justin Kan, and Gabe Whaley (founder of MSCHF). Our customers span a variety of creative industries and include Pentagram, Lionsgate, and Nike.

About the role

We're looking for staff-level product engineers to join our team in Brooklyn, New York. We build powerful yet delightful software in full-stack TypeScript and React on the web. We're obsessed with the smallest details of our craft, getting exceptional work into production for customers, and refining it until it's undeniable.

You'll work across the product—from canvas rendering and enabling complex workflows to augmenting our media control layer to provide image and video editing. At a high level, our stack is Next.js, Zustand, React-flow and Convex, deployed on Vercel. You'll build the systems that make complexity feel effortless.

We’re looking for people who have:

  • 7+ years of web application experience

  • 5+ years of deep React and Typescript experience

  • Practical experience building impactful, polished, high performance web apps at scale

  • 0 to 1 experience building successful products

  • Excellent communication and mentorship skills, always seeking to uplift their peers and accelerate everyone on the team

Exceptionally strong candidates might also have experience with:

  • Building AI-native applications

  • Niche web media APIs such as WebGL (@react-three/fiber), WebGPU, WebCodecs, or WebAssembly

  • 3D Graphics or Audio and Video streaming on the web

  • Using professional-level creative tools, such as TouchDesigner, Ableton, Autodesk CAD, Pro Tools, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut, Blender
