ABOUT THE JOB
As a Staff Software Technical Program Manager within the DeckPlate team, you will own the execution of critical manufacturing software initiatives that directly support Anduril's maritime production operations. You will lead complex, cross-functional programs from concept through delivery, working closely with software engineering, QA, product, and manufacturing stakeholders.This role requires both strategic program leadership and hands-on execution, including managing and mentoring a team of software engineers building manufacturing web applications, aligning technical delivery with operational needs, and ensuring outcomes meet the highest standards of quality, scalability, and reliability.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Program & Project Leadership: Lead and manage multiple concurrent software programs, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Engineering Leadership: Manage and coordinate a team of software engineers developing manufacturing-focused web applications, providing clarity on priorities, dependencies, and execution plans.
- Stakeholder & Customer Advocacy: Serve as a strong advocate for internal and external customers by deeply understanding their workflows and pain points, clearly articulating problems, and translating them into actionable statements of work and technical roadmaps.
- Manufacturing Systems Integration: Drive initiatives involving PLM, ERP, and MES systems, ensuring seamless integration with manufacturing operations and data flows.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact across engineering, QA, product, and manufacturing teams to ensure alignment and execution.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify technical, schedule, and operational risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed program documentation, including project plans, timelines, dependencies, and executive- reedouts.
- Quality & Delivery Excellence: Ensure deliverables meet defined quality standards, technical requirements, and operational readiness criteria.
- Agile Execution: Implement and champion Agile and Scrum best practices to enable predictable, high-velocity delivery.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience in technical program or project management for software development initiatives.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and hands-on experience working within Scrum teams.
- Experience managing or leading software engineering teams.
- Familiarity with manufacturing enterprise systems, including PLM, ERP, and MES platforms.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Deep expertise with JIRA workflows, reporting, and automation.
- Technical background in software engineering or systems architecture.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, production, or hardware-software integrated environments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles.
- Demonstrated experience leading large, cross-functional programs at scale.
US Salary Range
$191,000-$253,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
