Job Description

Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday (Business Hours) plus On-Call Rotation
The Groves Senior Living is hiring a Staffing and Recruitment Coordinator to join our Health and Wellness leadership team. This role works under the Health and Wellness Director and shares supervisory responsibility with the Resident Care Coordinator. Together, you will recruit, hire, schedule, coach, and support our caregiver team in Assisted Living and Memory Care.
This is a supervisory position that combines people leadership with administrative work. Candidates must be Arizona Certified Caregivers and able to step into a caregiver or medication assistant shift only when needed to ensure full coverage. You’ll thrive in this role if you enjoy connecting with people, solving problems, staying organized, and supporting a team behind the scenes.
What You’ll Do
Recruiting and Hiring
  • Recruit caregivers through job boards, walk-ins, referrals, and community partnerships.
  • Screen applicants and coordinate interviews with the Health and Wellness Director and RCC.
  • Support the full hiring process including reference checks, onboarding steps, and regulatory documentation.
  • Build and maintain a strong, values-aligned caregiver pipeline.
  • Schedule new hire orientation and training.
Scheduling and Staffing
  • Create and maintain caregiver schedules for Assisted Living and Memory Care.
  • Respond to call outs, open shifts, and daily staffing needs with calm, solution-focused communication.
  • Work closely with the RCC to ensure resident care needs are always covered.
  • Participate in the on-call staffing rotation.
  • Provide hands-on support as a caregiver or med-tech only when needed to ensure full coverage.
Leadership and Team Support
  • Provide daily support, coaching, and redirection to caregivers.
  • Help monitor attendance and follow up with caregivers as needed.
  • Assist with corrective actions and documentation, with all discipline or termination decisions made as a team with the HWD and RCC.
  • Model professionalism, teamwork, and compassionate resident care.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must already have or be able to obtain quickly:
  • Arizona Certified Caregiver credential
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Negative TB test within the past 12 months
  • Active Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Food Handler Card
  • Must pass a background check and drug screen
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least six months of caregiving experience
  • Experience supervising or leading others
  • Comfortable learning computer-based scheduling systems
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to stay calm and focused when staffing needs shift quickly
