Job Description

The Opportunity

The Outlet Store Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations, driving sales, and managing staff at a high-volume, discount-focused furniture outlet. This role focuses on managing fluctuating inventory, leading quick-turn promotions, and delivering value-driven customer service. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, highly promotional retail environment and can adapt quickly to inventory and sales strategy shifts.

You will report to the Director of Retail

Your Impact

  • Drive sales through effective merchandising, promotional execution, and staff engagement.

  • Manage high-volume inventory turnover, ensuring quick processing of new and clearance product.

  • Lead a team in achieving sales targets, productivity, and customer service excellence.

  • Train and coach team on value-based selling, discount messaging, and upselling.

  • Maintain outlet visual standards while prioritizing functionality and product availability.

  • Partner with supply chain and merchandising teams to manage backstock and inventory flow.

  • Monitor store metrics and implement action plans to drive performance.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, operational, and loss prevention policies.

What You Bring

  • 3-5 years of retail management experience, preferably in outlet or high-volume environments.

  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), Outlook, Kronos, and POS systems.

  • Ability to lift and mobilize medium to large items, up to 50 lbs

Remote work is not permitted in NYC at this time.
