The student administrative assistant supports the ICIAM Secretary in several ways
45% - Office support
- Scheduling meetings, sending e-mails to the Board, updating the ICIAM website, and archiving meeting documents and other information
20% - Event support
- Preparing documents, collecting RSVPs, and making voting arrangements for Board meetings
20% - Membership support
- Updating the membership directory
- Answering member questions
10% - Social media presence
- Posting about ICIAM conferences and events, the Dianoia newsletter, featured research, and member society events on X
5% - Other duties as assigned by the ICIAM Secretary
Required Qualifications
- Excellent written communication skills, as documented in application materials.
- Excellent verbal communication skills, as evidenced in application materials and the interview.
- Excellent attention to detail, as evidenced in application materials.
- Demonstrated history of strong professionalism, as evidenced in application materials and the interview.
- Experience with Microsoft Word.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous office experience.
- Experience with updating websites and preparing social media posts.
- Experience with preparing Qualtrics surveys.
- Experience with the Microsoft 365 Suite.
Position Requirements
During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: (1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or (2) be pre-enrolled in the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or (3) be enrolled in summer session or (4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).
