JOB SUMMARY

Educational internship and research support role working with Dr. Rachel Zimmer, Director, Access to Food is Medicine for All (AFMA) Lab

ABOUT THIS POSITION

The Access to Food is Medicine for All (AFMA) Lab is dedicated to identifying and implementing community-led, participant-centered strategies to improve health equity by addressing food insecurity and other non-medical health conditions. Our lab focuses on integrating these approaches within healthcare teams, leveraging the unique expertise of community health workers, navigators, and other partners.

We prioritize academic-community partnerships, working collaboratively with local governments, healthcare systems, and grassroots organizations to co-create sustainable solutions that address systemic barriers to health. Using Implementation Science frameworks, we design, evaluate, and scale programs to ensure real-world effectiveness and impact.

This position will assist with preparing study materials and collecting data using electronic surveys. Additional tasks may include: recruitment and retention of research study participants (via phone and in-person visits) and general assistance with project management tasks (e.g., tracking participant response rates, delivering participant incentives, and preparing brief reports for the team). NOTE: This is a part-time position. The intent is for the position to follow a hybrid format. Most work will be conducted remotely, with occasional in-person work requirements.

Education, Experience and Certifications

High School, Undergraduate, Master's or Postgraduate enrollment required. Excellent planning, prioritizing, oral/written communication, interpersonal, problem solving, and team skills required. Pay Range

$18.50 - $27.75
