Job Description

About Unity Environmental University at Pineland:

At Unity Environmental University at Pineland, our In-Person Education subsidiary offers uniquely structured undergraduate programs tailored for students who wish to focus on one course at a time. This innovative approach ensures immersion in each subject, fostering a comprehensive understanding and mastery of the material.

Our academic programs are career-oriented, designed to equip students with practical skills and knowledge that are directly applicable in the workforce. As we continue to expand and enhance our offerings, we are actively seeking faculty members who are not only experts in their fields but also share a deep commitment to making education both accessible and affordable.

We invite passionate educators to join our team, where you will play a pivotal role in disrupting the status quo of higher education, and are driven by the opportunity to make a difference. We encourage you to apply and help us drive forward our mission of accessible, high-quality education.

The Opportunity:

Unity Environmental University seeks qualified Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop two new undergraduate courses-Human Anatomy and Human Physiology-for the University's in-person science curriculum. These introductory courses will be delivered in person in five-week terms and are designed to serve students pursuing health and life science pathways. The courses will be fully transferrable to degree programs at other institutions.

Each course includes applied learning components that help students build foundational knowledge of the human body while developing skills relevant to environmentally informed health careers. SMEs will collaborate with the academic dean and a learning experience designer to create engaging and inclusive learning materials.

We seek individuals interested in harnessing the capabilities of generative AI to enrich course development and student learning.

About the Courses:

Human Anatomy

This course introduces students to human structure, including cells, tissues, and major organ systems. Learners will explore core anatomical terminology, spatial relationships of organs, and the ways form supports function. The course emphasizes visual comprehension using digital learning tools and applied study strategies.

Human Physiology

This course examines how human organ systems function independently and together to maintain homeostasis. Students investigate physiological mechanisms at multiple scales, with special attention to quantitative reasoning, system integration, and real-world applications relevant to health, fitness, and environmental exposure.

Candidates with experience designing or teaching anatomy and physiology-especially in online or interdisciplinary contexts-will be reviewed favorably.
