Job Description

Job Title: Summer Associate, Information Technology (Desktop Support)

Department: Information Technology

Reports To: VP, Head of IT Infrastructure

FLSA Code: Non-Exempt

Estimated Salary: $33/hour

Job Summary:

Cohen and Steers is currently seeking a highly motivated Desktop Technician in the IT Infrastructure department, in the NY office.  The Desktop Support Engineer will work closely with the Technology team and users to implement, maintain, and support all Desktop environments globally.  Cohen & Steers is committed to an inclusive culture, valuing diversity in support of our people and clients.

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Respond to telephone calls, emails and personnel requests for technical support
  • Provide high level desk-side and telephone support resolving day-to-day technical issues for 400+ users within our NY office, 6 Global offices and 50+ remote users
  • Setting up, repairing and maintaining a wide range of hardware (servers, desktops, laptops, printers and all other peripherals) and software (Bloomberg, Citrix, MS Office and other financial software)
  • Work closely with team to develop in house reporting and clean up inventory
  • Maintain and track production related bugs and communicate status to business users, management, and team

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Undergraduate student with expected graduation date in 2027
  • Proficient in functions of Microsoft Office Applications and Microsoft Windows
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must be able and willing to work in a team-oriented environment

  • Able to meet the firm's work arrangement policy in our New York City office (5 days in-office)
