SRMC-Sutter Roseville Med Center

Position Overview:

Effectively supervises and coordinates the overall management of activities of the Pharmacy Technicians including scheduling, training, coaching and counseling, and performance evaluations, thus ensuring a smooth and efficient flow of work is maintained within the Central Pharmacy and the various satellite pharmacies within the hospital. Develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure continuity of services provided by the Pharmacy Technicians.

Job Description:

EDUCATION:

  • Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician program
  • OR Met Board of Pharmacy requirements to obtain registration

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:

  • PHRMTECHR-Registered Pharmacy Technician
  • OR PHARMC-Certified Pharmacy Technician

Note: A Licensed Pharmacy Technician is both registered and certified

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 years recent relevant experience

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Knowledge of medical terminology, pharmaceutical generic and trade names, pharmaceutical calculations, and laws and regulations relating to the practice of Pharmacy.
  • Knowledge of basic dosing information.
  • Basic arithmetic and algebra.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Windows environment with moderate level of competency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Requires a basic working knowledge of legal requirements and accreditation standards including National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP), The Joint Commission (TJC), Title XXII, United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and United States Pharmacopeia (USP).

Pay Range is $41.45 to $62.18 / hour

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
