The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.

Job Responsibilities:

General Job Duties:

  • To lead and direct departmental health and safety objectives and to support Company directed health and safety directives which provide for a safe and healthful workplace for all DexSys employees

Specific Job Duties

  • Ensure the MRP system is integrated properly into the DexSys materials process and obtain a high confidence level of data accuracy. 
  • Support Service of all DexSys OEM customers
  • Root cause inventory discrepancies and implement permanent corrective actions.
  • Manage supply of Tier II components during program launches
  • Manage supply of Tier II components at end of production for service demand
  • Manage engineering change effective dates and notify assembly department and RRP of the changes.
  • Integrate the EDI releases from our customer down to the accurate scheduling of our Tier II suppliers.
  • Review Bill of Materials to insure MRP reflects actual process, therefore providing correct inventory consumption levels.
  • Manage transportation logistics for incoming items and outgoing to RRP to minimize costs and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Effectively manage the receipt of incoming purchased items for prompt inventory recognition and control in predetermined multi-location storage.
  • Effectively manage entering receipts for service component deliveries into RRP.
  • Work with the manufacturing departments to provide standardized JIT component and skin delivery process to all areas.
  • Initiate continuous improvement opportunities to minimize inventory and supply chain costs through lean initiatives.
  • Monitor/evaluate CCA Service Packaging specifications
  • Monitor and schedule service assembly builds
  • Maintain 100% Service Supplier rating.
  • Manage component obsolescence from ordering to tracking claims.
  • Track inventory containment and return to supplier all non-conforming products.  Ensure that all returned product value is credited back to DexSys or replaced.
  • Support supplier lean initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of study.

Required Work Experience

  • Minimum five years materials management experience in an automotive environment.
  • Experience in MRP systems required.
  • Demonstrate strong Organizational Skills.
  • Must be results oriented with ability to drive change.
  • Must have computer expertise in the Windows environment, QAD, Excel
  • Manufacturing experience with packaging emphasis is preferred
  • Understanding customer portals.

Physical Requirements

  • This position requires a person to have the ability to perform work while standing or walking a minimum of two (2) to four (4) hours a day, the ability to perform work while sitting for six (6) hours a day and the ability to lift up to 10 pounds on an occasional basis.  Must be capable of performing repetitive motion for four (4) to six (6) hours a day.
