Job Description

Job Title:  US Supply Chain Project Manager – Aerospace & Defense

Location: Remote

Travel requirement: Approx. 40% (to CIRCOR sites and suppliers in North America)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a results-driven Supply Chain Project Manager to lead and execute supplier transition initiatives, cost-savings projects, and cross-functional implementations across our US sites. This role requires strong analytical, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills to optimize our sourcing strategies and drive measurable results.

This strategic leader will also be responsible for supporting CIRCOR growth as it relates to managing the integration of acquired companies into our existing supply chain network. This includes managing and optimizing supply chain operations, ensuring smooth transitions, and supporting post-acquisition integration efforts.

Principal Activities:

Supplier Transition & Cost Management:

  • Lead the end-to-end transition of parts and components from existing suppliers to new, qualified suppliers
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Engineering, Quality, and Logistics teams to ensure seamless transitions with minimal disruption to operations
  • Develop and manage project timelines, risk mitigation plans, and communication strategies for all transition projects
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to improve overall cost performance
  • Continuously monitor and benchmark market trends, and implement strategies to reduce costs

Commodity Data Analysis & Cost Reduction:

  • Review and analyze commodity spend data across business units to identify trends, consolidation opportunities, and cost-savings initiatives
  • Collaborate with Commodity Management and Strategic Sourcing teams to prioritize and develop savings projects
  • Build business cases and track financial impact of savings initiatives

Project Implementation & Site Collaboration:

  • Partner with manufacturing and distribution sites to implement supply chain projects, including new supplier onboarding, process changes, and inventory adjustments
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings and workshops to drive alignment and successful implementation
  • Implement a patcher/catcher model for transitioning US domestic spend into BCC regions
  • Support RFQ activities for follow-on production and new product introduction
  • Monitor performance post-implementation to ensure expected outcomes are achieved

Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project updates, timelines, and deliverables
  • Prepare and present project status reports and performance metrics to senior leadership
  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support long-term sourcing goals

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead and mentor multi-functional teams, including procurement, logistics, inventory control, and demand planning, to meet organizational goals and supply chain KPIs
  • Develop, implement, and track the performance of team objectives and individual goals to foster continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration and ensure effective communication between supply chain teams, production, and other key departments
  • Organize and lead regular meetings to review performance, resolve issues, and align objectives across teams

Acquisition Integration Support:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of integration strategies for newly acquired companies into the existing supply chain network
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., procurement, logistics, operations) to ensure seamless integration of acquired entities into the supply chain
  • Analyze and map supply chain processes and systems of acquired companies to identify areas for improvement and alignment with existing processes
  • Support the transfer of supply chain data, documentation, and reporting to ensure full integration with the organization’s systems

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or relevant certification (e.g., PMP, APICS) a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain, sourcing, or procurement roles, with at least 2 years in a project management capacity
  • Proven experience managing supplier transitions and leading cost-reduction initiatives
  • Proven track record of successful supplier negotiation, cost reduction, and contract management
  • Knowledge of FAR/DFAR including FAR Part 15 negotiations preferred
  • Knowledge and demonstrated ability to data mine in ERP systems required, experience in IFS preferred
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
