Job Description
Your Role
Responsibilities
- Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
- Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex supply chain / network optimization data sets
- Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems (Coding Standardization)
- Plan and implement supply chain optimization projects (e.g. warehouse-slotting, route planning, landing logics, etc)
- Discover the most cost-effective shipping modes and schedules (private fleet vs 3PL)
- Recommending improvements to boost performance and reduce costs to operate our distribution network
- Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
- Track KPIs and report on supply chain’s performance
- Help foster trusting relationships with business partners
- Collaborate with IT professionals to implement effective systems
Your Profile
Education & Experience
- BS/BA in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Distribution Engineering, Logistics, Business Analytics, Mathematics or a related field
- Knowledge regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
- Experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc…), databases (SQL etc…), programming (SQL, Access, XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks)
- 25% + travel; flexibility is required.
