Pay Range: $27-$35/hour
Location: Based in Loveland, CO
Reports to: Production

About the Position:
Opterus is looking for an organized and motivated Supply Chain Specialist I/II to assist with procurement, supplier and inventory management, and material handling for a mix of R&D and spaceflight projects. This dynamic role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail who enjoys working in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
- Execute procurement activities for assigned programs, including RFQs, purchase orders, and supplier communications
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers for aerospace-grade materials and components
- Request cost and delivery schedule improvements with vendors
- Monitor supplier performance, resolve issues, and recommend corrective actions when needed
- Maintain accurate inventory records and support material planning to meet production schedules
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast material needs and mitigate supply risks
- Ensure compliance of procurement activities with company policy related to ITAR, EAR, and other applicable regulations
- Assist in developing and improving supply chain processes and tools
- Receiving and basic non-technical inspection of purchased materials; transacting materials into ERP system (e.g., into inventory, to project, etc.)
- Management of physical inventory, including cycle counts, kitting of material for production, ERP location to physical location verification, and real-time consumption adjustments
- Shipping of in-process and finished goods
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's in supply chain management, business, or a related field is preferred
- 2+ years of supply chain, procurement, or materials management experience, preferably in IS9001/AS9100 environments
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, preferably JAMIS
- Working knowledge of ITAR/EAR compliance requirements
- Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, etc.)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative small-company environment
- US citizen or permanent resident
Compensation and Benefits:
- Compensation range of $27-$35 hourly, based on experience and qualifications
- Flexible and hybrid work schedules: 9/80 or 10/80 schedules, with two or more days in office
- Opterus pays 100% of employees' premiums and 70% of dependents' premiums
