Position:  SUPPORT / ROLE PLAYER 

Type:  Part-Time/ On-Call*  

Location:  Camp Lejeune, NC 

Travel: 10-15% (Travel to states including CA, FL, NC, SC, TN, VA, ME, and WA; may change per mission need)

Position Summary: Support/Role Players (PTOCs) provide essential logistical, administrative, and indirect role-playing support for SERE and Personnel Recovery exercises. Working under the supervision of the MARFORSOC PR/SERE Instructor staff, PTOCs help set up and tear down training areas, role-play in scenarios, and manage equipment, vehicles, and other logistical needs. They do not directly instruct or train students but ensure the realism, safety, and efficiency of exercise support operations. 

Duties and Responsibilities:  

These services are required to support unique efforts which may require: 

• Provide logistical and administrative support during Survival/Evasion exercises  

• Role play as directed to achieve training scenario realism 

• Support set-up and tear-down of training environments 

• Manage general clean-up, rental vehicle pick-up/return, and other admin tasks 

• Operate under supervision; do not instruct students directly 

Required Skills and Abilities:  

• Possess current SECRET clearance 

• U.S. Citizenship/Residency required 

• Valid Class “C” driver's license 

• Meet instructor OF-178 physical requirements 

• Experience in military/role play/logistics support environments preferred 

• Effective teamwork and communication skills 

• Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols 

• Professionalism and ability to work flexibly with a structured team 

• Ability to perform outdoors, in physically demanding and variable weather environments 

• Meet medical/physical standards for role play/support 

• Capable of lifting, carrying, and operating vehicles if needed 

Physical Demands and Work Environment: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk, listen, and write. The employee frequently is required to use foot/ankle motions, hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
