The Position:

Responsible for the daily preparation of food items in the culinary department while assisting the Sushi Chef in delivering exceptional service. Upholds the highest standards of accuracy in food preparation, safe food handling, and sanitation to ensure a clean, efficient, and guest-focused kitchen environment.

• Prepares food and ingredients at the beginning of an assigned shift and replenishes during slow periods.
• Creates orders according to menu and supervisor instructions with attention to taste and visual appeal.
• Maintains the kitchen and supply room in a neat, orderly, and sanitary condition.
• Assists in maintaining inventory, orders, stocks, and rotates items. Dates all perishable items upon delivery. Keeps condiments filled.
• Keeps kitchen clean to include floors walls, ceiling tiles, equipment (inside & out) as well as deep cleaning projects such as fryers, grease traps, shelves and walls.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred
• 1 year of cooking experience preferred
• 1 year of cash handling and cash register experience preferred.
• Able to read and comprehend written instructions
• Must have administrative/clerical experience
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks at once
• Excellent organizational, verbal, interpersonal and customer relations skill
• Current Food Handler or ServSafe Certificate
• 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to obtain a Class I Gaming License
• Must maintain a clean, neat, and well-groomed appearance at all times (specific standards available)
