Job Description
Overview
SCCI is seeking a System Tester to join our team! In this position you will serve as a Scrum Team Embedded Tester to ensure conformance of software functionality prior to weapons system application release to the fleet. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to learn new technical concepts quickly. This position is available for immediate hire and located in Dahlgren, VA.

Responsibilities:
- Assess requirements and develop test cases and procedures for assigned Scrum Team's software products
- Provide real-time documentation of critical thinking/test methodology to ensure a valid test is performed to meet requirement specifications
- Test and validate Gun Computer System (GCS) Mark (MK) 160 Gun Weapons System (GWS) developer builds, progressing from iterative development builds to the final production build
- Collaborate with Software Engineers in an Agile environment to support the development of high-quality software artifacts
Essential Skills and Experience:
Must be a U.S. Citizen and have an Active Secret Security Clearance
Must have a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, technical discipline or equivalent experience, such as direct hands-on experience with a particular system application
Three (3) years of experience testing a software intensive DoD weapon system; Experience developing testing strategies and detailed test procedures, based on system requirements, as well as test execution
Proven problem solving, written and oral communication skills and the ability to:
Work effectively in a fast-paced, team environment
Work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing range/field environment
Work independently and interface professionally with other government agencies, contractors, military personnel
Work with others to meet established goals and program schedules
The ability to create and perform both manual and automated testing
Experience and knowledge of systems engineering and testing practices throughout all phases of the software development lifecycle
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience working in any of the Linux and Unix environments
- Experience with any of the following: C, C++, Java, Ada programming languages
- Experience supporting Department of Defense (or related) programs
- Experience with the DoD Acquisition lifecycle
