Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Early Career Systems Engineer. In this role, you will work on documenting and releasing production-specific processes, maintain requirements, and contribute to and maintain a weapon system design baseline. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of System design and knowledge one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Propulsion, RF, Software, etc.), the ability to absorb extensive technical detail and logically formulate solutions for execution, the ability to interact with hardware engineers and designers to ensure mission requirements are satisfied, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint).Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Systems, Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related from accredited school.
  • Experience working and interfacing with multiple teams and groups
  • Eligibility and willingness to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance

Desired Skills:

  • System design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Propulsion, RF, Software, etc.)
  • Ability to absorb extensive technical detail and logically formulate solutions for execution on an inflexible schedule, often requiring integration of conflicting and, at times, incomplete data
  • Ability to interact with hardware Certified Principal Engineers (CPEs) and designers to ensure mission requirements are satisfied
  • Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and tackle numerous roles as part of the daily program operations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint).

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
