Job Description

Position: Systems EngineerEmployee Type: Full-Time (1st Shift)Reports to: Director of ITPolamer Precision IT's mission is to support user, and cybersecurity for our clients who are manufacturing professionals. This is a highly technical role providing excellent career development opportunities for successful candidates. You will be working with other Systems Engineers and Sr. Systems Engineers in a very collaborative environment which allows for very quick technical growth.The ideal Systems Engineer will possess at least 3 years of IT Experience (Desktop Support, Systems Engineering, Systems Administration) and should have the following qualifications:
  • End User Support / Desktop Support: Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, desktop, and mobile device       
  • troubleshooting
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Support of primarily Microsoft 365 stack (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Intune, Azure AD)
  • Systems Administration: Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server Platforms as well as Active Directory, Group   
  • Policy
  • Basic understanding of virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V
  • Understanding of networking: SDWAN, TCP/IP, LAN / DMZ / WAN, DHCP, DNS, Routing, Switching and   
  • Firewalls
  • Internal systems, cloud and network infrastructure
  • Remote monitoring and management of system alerts and notifications
  • Work escalated support issues related to Microsoft’s core business solutions, WAN and LAN connectivity, 
  • routers, firewalls, security, and remote access solutions.
  • Perform network assessments, security audits and new client consultant
  • Communication with customers as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Organization skills
  • Exemplary critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • A qualified applicants must have good verbal and written communications skills. Must read, write, and speak 
  • EnglishThe following qualifications will make you stand out as a candidate:
  • Manufacturing industry experience including familiarity with market vendor applications: Plex ERP, OEM Portals, CAD, CAM softwareSignificant experience with an MSP contribution, particularly utilizing the ConnectWise suite of products
  • Exposure to/ability to support workloads in Cloud Hybrid Infrastructure
  • Experience with cybersecurity solutions such as UEBA, MDR, DLP, XDR, CASB, SIEM
  • Experience with email security gateway solutions such as Minecast or Proofpoint
  • Experience or knowledge on frameworks such as NIST 800-171/172, CMMC 1.0/2.0, ISO27001, ISA95
  • Experience writing powershell,
  • AWS or Azure Certification
  • Experience working with an MSPWork Environment:
    • Must be able to work in an office setting
    • While performing duties, you will be required to sit for long periods of time and use keyboards/computer mouse for most of the day.
    • Frequent use of hands and wrists for typing and data entry as well as kneeling, crouching/stooping, walking, reaching overhead or below.
    • Moving, pushing/pulling, and lifting/carrying objects up to 15lbs.
    • Must be able to provide visual acuity
    • Must be able to perform repetitive movements daily.
    • Required to always wear safety shoes and safety glasses when on the shop floor
    • Travel occasionally out of state or country
