Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and motivated tax accountant to join our team in a part-time hybrid role. As a tax accountant, you will be responsible for handling tax-related tasks and providing excellent client service. You should have a strong background in using Pro Series and QuickBooks, as well as heavy Excel skills.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses
- Ensure accurate and timely filing of tax forms
- Perform tax planning and consulting services for clients
- Communicate with clients to address tax-related questions and concerns
- Maintain and update client records with accuracy and confidentiality
- Evaluate and suggest tax-saving strategies for clients
- Conduct research on tax-related issues and stay updated with changing tax laws
- Assist with other accounting tasks such as bookkeeping and financial statement preparation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
- CPA certification preferred
- Extensive experience in using Pro Series and QuickBooks
- Proficiency in Excel with a focus on complex formulas, data analysis, and pivot tables
- Knowledge of US tax laws and regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
