About the Role

We’re seeking experienced Tax Filing leaders to join our growing team and drive operational excellence in U.S. payroll tax filing and compliance. Whether you're an experienced manager or senior director, our team offers exciting opportunities to lead client-facing delivery, mentor tax professionals, and enhance quality and efficiency across our operations.

This evergreen requisition is used to build a strong talent pipeline for future and immediate openings in leadership roles such as:

  • Senior Analyst – Tax Filing

  • Operations Services Manager (OSM)

  • Tax Filing Director

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities may vary based on level but may include:

  • Lead day-to-day operations of payroll tax filing, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant delivery

  • Oversee tax filings across federal, state, and local jurisdictions, including quarterly and year-end processes

  • Resolve client inquiries and escalations with urgency and professionalism

  • Partner with internal payroll, client service, and compliance teams to resolve complex issues

  • Facilitate client meetings and serve as a subject matter expert in payroll tax filing

  • Mentor, coach, and develop colleagues or team managers to support performance and growth

  • Identify and drive process improvement initiatives using root cause analysis and metric reporting

  • Support system testing, training, and implementation for new clients and updated interfaces

  • Oversee documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs)

  • Monitor team and vendor performance using KPIs and dashboards

  • Support or lead strategic initiatives, transformational projects, and cross-functional collaboration

What We're Looking For

Minimum Qualifications (for mid-level roles):

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • 3+ years of U.S. payroll tax filing experience (federal, state, local)

  • 2+ years of client-facing experience

  • 2+ years of tax filing software experience (MasterTax preferred)

  • Proficient in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables); strong analytical and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications (for senior-level roles):

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • 10+ years in payroll tax filing or related fields

  • 7+ years in client relationship management

  • 5+ years of people leadership, including direct leadership of other managers

  • Project management experience and familiarity with service delivery transformation

  • Strong background in operational leadership, outsourcing, and consulting preferred

  • MasterTax and/or ADP Smart Compliance experience strongly preferred

Salary Pay Range

Minimum - Maximum:

$61,950.00 - $115,050.00

Pay Transparency Statement: Strada considers a variety of factors in determining whether to extend an offer of employment and in setting the appropriate compensation level, including, but not limited to, a candidate’s experience, education, certification/credentials, market data, internal equity, and geography.
