Job Description

Position Title: Telecommunications/Electronics Technician (Levels 1–5)

Clearance: DoD SECRET or higher clearance 

Location: Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 

Travel: up to 15% 

Role Overview: The Telecommunications/Electronics Technician role advances mission outcomes through practical, day‑to‑day execution and clear communication. Responsibilities blend hands‑on problem solving with careful planning, coordination, and documentation. 

Levels & Qualifications

Level 1: Telecommunications/Electronics Technician Level 1

Education: High School or GED 

Experience: None 

Summary: As a Level 1 Telecommunications/Electronics Technician, you translate objectives into actionable steps and ensure results meet scope, schedule, and quality expectations. Operates under close guidance, applying established procedures and building fluency in tools and workflows.  

Level 2: Telecommunications/Electronics Technician Level 2

Education: AA or 2 year technical school 

Experience: 3 years 

Summary: As a Level 2 Telecommunications/Electronics Technician, you translate objectives into actionable steps and ensure results meet scope, schedule, and quality expectations. Handles assignments independently, validating results and collaborating across teams to remove blockers.  

Level 3: Telecommunications/Electronics Technician Level 3

Education: Bachelor's Degree 

Experience: 5 years 

Summary: As a Level 3 Telecommunications/Electronics Technician, you translate objectives into actionable steps and ensure results meet scope, schedule, and quality expectations. Handles assignments independently, validating results and collaborating across teams to remove blockers.  

Level 4: Telecommunications/Electronics Technician Level 4

Education: Bachelor's Degree 

Experience: 6 years 

Summary: As a Level 4 Telecommunications/Electronics Technician, you translate objectives into actionable steps and ensure results meet scope, schedule, and quality expectations. Works with broad autonomy, shaping approach, mentoring teammates, and resolving complex issues with minimal oversight.  

Level 5: Telecommunications/Electronics Technician Level 5

Education: Bachelor's Degree 

Experience: 8 years 

Summary: As a Level 5 Telecommunications/Electronics Technician, you translate objectives into actionable steps and ensure results meet scope, schedule, and quality expectations.
