Job Description

This role supports our DevSecOps team delivering technology solutions to support the evolving needs of our clients, advisors, and employees.

The DevSecOps team utilizes a development, security and operations framework that integrates security into all phases of the software development lifecycle. This approach, which emphasizes collaboration, automation, and clear processes, allows teams to share responsibility for security, and reduces the risk of releasing code with security vulnerabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities vary depending on assigned projects(s) and may include:

  • Define business requirements
  • Develop, document, test, and modify new or existing code
  • Develop working knowledge of Ameriprise systems, processes, data, and vendor tools
  • Learn and apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to the development life cycle
  • Learn new programming languages
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement/automation
  • Participate in Agile team ceremonies

Required Qualifications

  • Current Senior at a 4-year university pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Information Science, Information Technology Infrastructure, or related field
  • Graduation date of December 2025
  • Prior Technology internship experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • High degree of self-motivation with strong integrity and ethics
  • Proven organization skills and ability to manage time effectively
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work and communicate collaboratively and constructively with others
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Prior classroom or project experience with software development/programming/coding

Base Pay Salary

The estimated base salary range for this role is $35/hr. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
