Job Summary (Essential Functions)

Pinehurst Country Club is seeking a motivated and energetic Tennis Professional to assist in delivering an exceptional racquets experience to our members and guests. The Tennis Professional will organize and direct lessons, leagues, events, exhibitions, and tournaments while fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for all players.

Essential Functions    Provide high-quality group and private tennis instruction for adults andjuniors.Promote and coordinate adult in-house leagues, socials, and special events.

    Assist in planning and executing club tournaments, exhibitions, and junior programs.Communicate regularly with Racquets Operations Managers to schedule and publicize events.

    Supervise adult mixers, match play, and other on-court programming.Maintain accurate records of court reservations and lesson appointments.

    Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the tennis facility.Attend staff meetings and participate in department initiatives.

    Support the Director of Racquets with other duties as assigned.Licenses & Special RequirementsCertification with either the Racquet Sports Professional Association (RSPA) or the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR).

    RSPA P1 rating required.NTRP rating of 4.5 or higher.Physical Demands & Work Environment

    Must possess sufficient stamina to teach outdoors for several consecutive hours in hot or humid conditions.Requires continuous standing, walking, running, bending, stooping, and repetitive movement.

    Frequent use of light machinery, ball machines, and hand-held teaching aids.Must be able to lift and move equipment as needed.

Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate is a positive, team-oriented professional who demonstrates enthusiasm, reliability, and a passion for teaching the game. Candidates should have strong communication skills, a professional demeanor, and a desire to contribute to a collaborative and growing racquets program.

This position is currently part time but may transition into full time.
